Architectural Wool Program

Wool Reimagined for Architecture, Symbolism, Art & Health

At Rhyme Studio, we believe the floor is a canvas, one that deserves as much thought and intention as any other surface in a room. Our custom carpets and tapestries do more than define a space, they reflect a deeper understanding of how material, craft, and sometimes ancient stories or history can converge. Made by hand in Ireland using regeneratively farmed Irish wool, our work is rooted in heritage, wellness, and design integrity.

Traditionally spun for us by Ireland’s leading historic woolen mills, these fibres are inherently strong, flame-resistant, and long-wearing, with natural crimp and density that support exceptional performance without the need for synthetic additives. Unlike most commercial carpets, our work is made to last generations with care and to return to the earth without leaving behind microplastics or toxins. We collaborate closely with interior designers, architects and project teams around the world to deliver both fully bespoke commissions and specification-ready wool surfacing for hospitality, workplace, residential and cultural interiors.

Our team offers a full-service custom process that includes on-site consultations where needed, sampling of standard or tailored colors and materials, detailed renderings, production coordination, delivery, and final design installation.

Wool today makes up just one percent of global fibre production. The carpet industry continues to favor synthetics in the name of cost and performance, but this assumption must be reexamined. At Rhyme Studio, we demonstrate that pure wool, when sourced responsibly and made intentionally, can meet the highest performance standards while offering deep material integrity. It purifies indoor air, resists compression, regulates humidity, and does so without shedding microplastics or requiring toxic treatments.

Rhyme Studio's Architectural Wool Program has been developed for architects and designers seeking healthier, specification-ready alternatives to conventional synthetic flooring systems. Available in curated colour palettes, custom sizing and project-specific configurations, the program combines the material intelligence of wool with contemporary architectural design. Dealer partnerships, project quotations and custom development services available internationally.
