Light, Sound & Air through Material Intelligence
Jazz Age combines integrated tunable lighting, acoustic performance and natural fibre within a sculptural woven wool surface designed for contemporary interiors. Developed using compressed wool acoustic material and heritage woven Irish textile, the design demonstrates LanaLux's approach to consolidating multiple interior functions within a single material system.
MATERIAL + PERFORMANCE
Compressed wool forms the acoustic core, supporting sound absorption and reverberation control while drawing upon wool's natural ability to regulate moisture and adsorb certain airborne pollutants. The textile surface brings colour, texture and material depth while reducing reliance on conventional synthetic acoustic finishes.
LIGHT
Integrated low voltage LED lighting creates soft, indirect illumination around and through the form. Tunable white technology allows colour temperature and intensity to shift in response to different environments and times of day, while concealed light sources preserve the sculptural character of the design.
DESIGNED AS A SYSTEM
Jazz Age can be specified individually, composed in multiples, or adapted in scale, textile, colour and configuration for individual projects.
LanaLux is conceived as a flexible system rather than a fixed family of forms, allowing custom geometries and compositions to respond to the requirements of an interior. Wall, ceiling, pendant, chandelier and custom configurations are available for project development.
