The OM Series II

Derived from an ancient architectural Irish tree alphabet, The OM Series II explores the concept of design for interiors that supports healthy living and generates a positive psychology.

Wellness in interior design is not limited to designing with sustainable materials, great water filtration or indoor air quality. We believe wellbeing arises from not only surrounding ourselves with design composed of miracle fibers like Irish wool but literally represents words that have the power to calm, heal and restore. Language is one of the most potent human attributes and even ancient scripture has posited that life and death are in the power of the tongue. If we consider that our words are the paint with which we illustrate our reality, perhaps never before has it been so important to choose our utterances carefully and immerse ourselves in positive affirmations. With debut carpet and tapestry designs that represent words such as Shelter or Protect, Peace, Health and Welcome, The OM Series II is a durable and highly customizable design collection that can spell almost any word.

Since the pandemic, the home has taken on a new dimension of importance in our lives, not only as a personal sanctuary but as the key to our very survival. Playing upon the notion that “the words we use become the house we live in”, this collection offers a neuro-aesthetically tailored approach to designing for wellbeing.

The OM Series II derives from a 1600 year old alphabet Ogham, used mainly to write the early Irish language. Known for monumental inscriptions on standing stones, its history dates back to at least the third or fourth century A.D, placing it in use long before the arrival of Latin to Ireland. Also called the tree alphabet, some believe it was created by druids and scholars as a secret form of communication. These mysterious letters of Ogham were paired with ancient Irish tree and plant species, many of which were considered sacred but have all but disappeared from Ireland’s landscape today.

“The early Celts venerated certain trees across Europe and we share their fascination with the ancient Irish sigils of Ogham. We like to imagine this tree alphabet brings one closer to the natural world while also creating a rug or tapestry design that can spell just about any word”
